  review (14 July 2010)
kotor is pretty fun but one thing that is kind of annoying about it is the combat. it is turned based and you can't attack whenever you want. but the rest of the game is pretty fun. good story, graphics, ect.

My son like this game! Was purchased as a gift. (13 July 2010)
Purchased this game as a gift. My son really likes this game and he told me what to check on review ratings.

Not your average video game (05 July 2010)
When I bought "Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic", I wasn't quite sure what I was gonna get. I've played a few 3rd person action games before, but none quite like this. I think this is a great game, with a great ability to just wander around and pretty much do whatever you want. It even gives you options throughout the game to choose the light or the dark side of the force based on the decisions you make, which I love! The fighting sequences, however, are a bit odd to say the least. It's sort of RPG style, but not really. You don't get to just walk up to enemies and just shoot or stab them. You enter a sort of battle mode and the fighting kind of happens without you. More luck than skill, really. But overall, I am pleased with the game. The graphics, among other things, kind of remind me of Grand Theft Auto, but in space. :)

Awesome for the enthusiast... (27 May 2010)
This game is a winner for Star Wars enthusiast, but it may not be the best game for the average player. It's detailed and very time consuming if you want to complete quests and do everything. It really lets you make your own character, and the game play is unique to what you want to do. So many games lack that, but this has a nice balance of fighting and other options.

It's an older game so it does not even compare to the graphics of today's games, but if that is not your major concern then this is decent enough.

For this type of game, this is the best out there for Star Wars.
