Norton antivirus (06 September 2010)
I have been using Norton antivirus for years with much success. Got it here due to price being 50% of Norton's. It installed without a hitch and was shipped
quickly.

Norton has been good in the past... (21 August 2010)
...so I went with them again. All virus protectors have issues and Norton is no different. I've been using them for years and have never had a virus attack my computer (although I do use a couple other things to protect it). It doesn't seem to slow down anything but I'm sure it does a little bit. They all do. I had a hard time getting this program to install. For some odd reason it wanted to load as part of my video card. I ended up having to uninstall the software on my video card, then install Norton and then re-install my video card software. I have no idea why it did that. Most likely you won't have that problem.

BRAINDEAD ACTIVATION! (17 August 2010)
Wanted to try something different after reading reviews that Norton Antivirus 2010 isn't supposed to be such a processor hog, and after encountering unbelievably stupid problems with Kaspersky Antivirus 2010 actually interfering with Microsoft Office!

So, on a brand new, completely bare Windows XP system with NO other software installed, I tried installing this product to see what this new version of Norton Antivirus is like... ...just one problem... ...I can't activate it! From reading postings on the web it looks as if this software actually has trouble "phoning home" to their server to complete activation.

I've been able to confirm that the Internet connection works (can go websites, etc.), but despite having nothing else on the computer that could possibly interfere with Norton Antivirus 2010, it just can't reach its server!

Did anyone test this thing before they shipped it?
