THE LOST CITY (01 July 2009)
The following review by isabella ( 6 yrs):
"i am a not a big dora fan but my dad got i for me any way because win i was 4 i loved dora but now i am not a b ig dora fan. it is a good game."

Parental comment: Yes she loved the early age oriented Dora PC game when she was younger. The challenge is appropriate ( not overwhelming), and the outcome also brings on the pride of accomplishment. Dora's stories always have a wholesome moral attached to the characters involvement. Good graphics, easy to follow, age appropriate logic level for 4-5 year olds.

Know your numbers? (02 November 2005)
Yes, as a previous reviewer said, the Lost City is full of number recognition. My kids are 5 and 2 1/2 and they are both big Dora fans. My 5 year old has tired of this game (we've had it at least a year), but my 2 1/2 year old loves to play the paint-by-number game (I just wish there are more than a handful of pictures) and can now recognize many numbers! So kudos to the game. But he still finds frustration with the other parts of this game. For a more rounded game, try Dora's backpack.

NOT WORTH GETTING (09 December 2004)
THOUGH IT IS A VERY NICE LOOKING GAME IT IS NOT VERY CHALLENGING. MY BOYS 3 AND 2 YEARS OLD FINISHED IT THE VERY FIRST TRY ON THE HARDEST LEVEL. YOU DO GET THE DORA SHOWS SONGS AND THE FEEL OF THE SHOW BUT AFTER 10 MINS OR SO THE GAME IS FINISHED. MY SONS GOT BORED OF THE SAME THING AND MOVED ON. AND NOT WORTH THE $19 ASKING PRICE ON THIS SITE. AT LEAST I PAID 1/3 THE PRICE.

Trouble for the Mac user (20 October 2004)
We bought this game because my son enjoys Dora and the game specifically said it would work on the Mac. Well the game is great and works great on our PC, but we cannot get it to work properly on our Mac. There is a patch on the website which we have tried, but the game works "hit and miss". The problem is that the mouse does not align properly with what is on the screen. So, I would recommend the software but not for MacIntosh users.

  Boring! (31 May 2004)
I have a 3 year old, and after a week, she is already bored with this game. For $20, there should be more to do. It constantly repeats itself, and has no real direction. Very limited number of activities available, and really no variety. I would not recommend this game at all. I am currently reading reviews to find something much more interesting.
