Customer Reviews:

  Fun game (23 July 2010)
Bioshock is a fun, futuristic game that has many twists and turns. The controls are easy to use (I own a PS3). Good story line and excellent action. I would highly recommend this game to those who play shooters.

  Awesome! (22 July 2010)
Freaking loved this game! It was extremely fun, and the story is really interesting. I just loved finding recordings so I could learn more about what happened to the people of Rapture. Also, not a huge deal, but I loved the sound effects!

I was iffy about the whole thing at first. It bothered me that if you die you come back and have still lost your items. (Your first aid kits and eve hypos) But it turns out to be pretty helpful, as long as you can find the enemy that killed you before it gets away, as it will still be damaged. This might bother some people though, because it makes things easy, Maybe a little too easy.

The one thing I really didn't like about the game was the map. Not a deal breaker or anything, but it could have been a lot better. Different levels are divided and placed next to each other with arrows, and it was kind of a mess.

Anyway, awesome game, and I will definitely be playing it again!

How can you pass it down with the 20 dollar price tag? (03 July 2010)
This has always been a decent game but I never picked it up until later. It's well worth 20 dollars. (I believe some of the DLC is exclusive to the PS3 version)

  Gay (26 June 2010)
I heard so many great things about this game, and for [...]$ I said why not. It might just me but this game was really boring, and the story line sucked along with everything else. But honestly for [...]$ go for it because unlike me, you might enjoy this game alot.

  PS3 Slim Compatibility Issues? (18 June 2010)
Looks pretty and sucks you in... but a note of caution. My game irreparably crashes every time I try to zap water (or anyone in it). Uninstalled/reinstalled, updated system, patched the game... nothing. Fatal crash every time.

I've searched around to see if there's a fix or if others have the same problem. One user with the same water-zapping problem stated that it could be based on a driver incompatibility or something with the newer hard drives shipping in the PS3 Slim - they report swapping out the hard drive for an older drive (such as one found in an original PS3) alleviated the problem. I'm not enthralled with fiddling around and downgrading technology to play a $15 game, but others might be more amenable to it. Just wanted to report my experience. If anyone has insight as to a solution, please feel free to help.
